Looking for a change of scenery? We seek candidates with certification as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist through ASCP or NCA and six (6) or more years of experience in a clinical laboratory for the role of Laboratory Manager. In this role you will assume the administrative responsibilities for all laboratory services - technical, support, and Point of Care. You will consistently communicate with and manage the activities of personnel in the section on all shifts. You will proactively research, evaluate, and recommend new policies, procedures, and instrumentation which provide for improved customer service and cost effectiveness. You will thoroughly prepare the budget and evaluate expenses for accuracy, implementing cost reduction measures as warranted. You will promote and implement continuous process improvement activities including LEAN events demonstrating positive outcomes. You will be responsible for keeping the laboratory in continuous readiness for inspections.
Candidates must have a Bachelor of Science degree in Clinical Laboratory Science/Medical technology, Biological Science or related field and be certified as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist through ASCP or NCA. Must have at least six (6) years experience in a clinical laboratory. Supervisory or Lead experience is preferred. Must be able to present proof of past performance appraisals which document commendable or excellent performance during the last three years. Must demonstrate experience or training in financial management, inventory control, scheduling and personnel relations. Must have good verbal and written communication skills. Must have basic personal computer skills using word processing and spreadsheets.
