Location: US:WI:MILWAUKEE at our FROEDTERT HOSPITAL facility.
*1.0 FTE is Full-Time, any position less than 1.0 FTE is Part-Time, and .001 FTE is Optional Part-Time*
*Positions with an "FTE" (full time equivalency) of .875 - 1.0 are eligible for full-time medical, dental and vision benefits. Positions with an "FTE" of .5 - .874 are eligible for part-time pro-rated medical, dental and vision benefits*
Shift: 1 Monday-Friday, 8 hour day shift. No weekends. No holidays.
Occasional obligations may require later hours to meet expectations. These occasions are typically scheduled ahead for planning purposes
The System Education Coordinator RN participates in the needs assessment, design, implementation and evaluation of orientation, staff development and continuing education relevant to hospital staff. Other duties as assigned.
A minimum of three years of acute care experience necessary to effectively assess staff members' educational needs, to design educational programs, to meet identified needs and to oversee instruction for staff members is required.
Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited School of Nursing is required.
Requires current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact). American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
Additional notes/preferred qualifications: Excellent communication and personal skills, preferred. Knowledge of Adult Learning theories and educational theories preferred. Willingness to work to support the system-wide critical care needs of Froedtert Health, preferred. Recent critical care experience, preferred. ACLS -AHA certification, preferred. Willingness to become a certified ACLS - AHA instructor, preferred.
